Work with the future of Microsoft technology

We’re known for being the best at what we do in NZ and Australia and now it’s time to show the rest of the world what we’re capable of. Are you made of the right stuff to join us?

  • Join the Microsoft 2010 NZ Country Partner of the Year.
  • Get involved in arguably the most exciting technology projects NZ has to offer.
  • Put NZ on the map and make your mark on the international stage.

As well as being the leading Microsoft solutions provider in New Zealand and a growing force in Australia, Intergen works extensively with Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA. We’ve been responsible for building much of the pre-release material for many key Microsoft products. If you’ve ever been to major global Microsoft events such as PDC, MIX and TechEd or watched their podcasts you’ll have seen Intergen-developed demos being shown to the world. Chances are you cut your teeth learning about the latest technology using training materials developed by none other than Intergen. Now you have the chance to join the team that makes this happen.

Why are we so good at what we do? We embrace technology and use our controlled “geekship” to develop solutions that really make a difference for our clients. We tell exciting ‘stories’ about using the Microsoft stack to deliver business value. It’s not just a job to us. It’s what we do. To call it work would be doing ourselves a disservice. We prefer to call it fun. And it just happens to be what we get paid for! We believe this passion flows through into our work and creates that extra ‘sparkle’.

These new roles will see you working with our Chief Technology Officer and an Australasian team of likeminded Microsoft experts to build out exciting projects on future Microsoft technology. Many of these projects are so secret we can’t talk about them but most get a high profile public release eventually. If you like living and working at the bleeding edge of technology, then this is the gig for you.

Have you got what it takes to be involved?

  • We are looking for Microsoft technology evangelists. You’ve got to really have a passion for this stuff and be prepared to share that passion with others.
  • Someone with strong skills in one or more of the following Microsoft technologies. You’ll need deep skills in the latest versions; your work will often involve future releases of key components eg, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics AX, Dynamics NAV, Windows Azure and Deep .NET Development.
  • The willingness to go that extra mile to achieve great things. We won’t pretend these projects are easy; we burn the midnight oil frequently and the deadlines are rock hard. But you’ll find this role hugely rewarding.
  • An ability to travel. There’ll be times when you need to jump on the plane to Redmond or other places further afield. You’ll need to be able to travel so please ensure you’re able to get a passport and the appropriate travel visas for the USA and European Union.

What’s in it for you?

  • The chance to work on some seriously exciting projects with the latest and future technologies.
  • Work with a great bunch of people in an organisation that values your skills. You’ll be working with Microsoft experts from around the globe.
  • Travel opportunities to the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
  • Work on some extremely high profile and rewarding projects.
  • While we are ideally looking for someone based in Wellington, we would consider an exceptional candidate if based at one of our other office locations (Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Sydney or Perth).

If you are passionate about everything Microsoft, enjoy creating innovative solutions and can tell a great yarn then you’ll be an ideal candidate.
