ECM and Records Management
Presented by Steve Lapwood
Held on 16 August in Auckland and 17 August in Wellington
Session outline:
The growth and complexity of record keeping, the cost of current solutions and a dependency for staff to behave like records managers makes the implementation, deployment and realisation of the benefits of enterprise content management difficult, time consuming and expensive to achieve.
Records management is part of good business practice but often left to the Records officers to “manage”. This may not be good enough to avoid the commercial risks of poor recordkeeping.
PRA requires the public sector to treat all content as records including email and paper and with the current economic climate there simply isn’t a lot of money to make this happen.
Now there is an answer!! Make compliance and good document management a simple, cost effective and user friendly experience.
