Build

Intergen build and integrate robust and standards compliant website templates that adhere to the NZ Government Web Standards (WCAG 2.0).
In our experience the adherence to the Government Web Standards on government website and application interface design projects ensures that the final solution has the most value for the majority of users. Put simply, it guarantees the site is fast, simple and intuitive – the golden benchmarks for effective interface design.
CSS (cascading style sheets) is one of the most important building blocks of modern web design. Web standards demand the use of CSS for formatting and styling pages, and with good reason. It is light weight and capable of much more than older methods like tables which were incorrectly used for formatting.
Intergen’s “Big Hairy Audacious Goal” is to touch every body positively every day. The State Services Commission Web Standards initiative is actually assisting us in ensuring that those experiences are positive with the users of our government web projects. Our user interface design methodology has been in a constant state of refinement since 1996. We advocate the disciplined application of best accessibility orientated design practice to all websites we create. Our approach is based on evolving internationally accepted accessibility standards (W3C's WCAG2.0 standards), and parallels the intent and purpose of the standards.
We have a team that is driving the accessibility thought process across disciplines, so that it is considered early on in the project, budgeted for accordingly and then developed as appropriate.
